The Presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte announces his 10 Basic Laws in a press conference conducted May 16, 2016.

His 10 Basic Laws focus more on controlling drugs and crimes in the country; those are:

On his term, he promised to make the Philippines safer than before and to prioritize the next generation by making the whole country livable – he even favors “Death Penalty” for heinous crimes.

The President-elect admitted that the praises he has been receiving are "cornies". He also discourage the cult-like groups for him and being called the president of the nation is awkward.

Hence, he has always be renounced as “Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Mayor of the Philippines” than the original “President” title that he should wear.
